Launched in 2021, the Rolling Green<\/em> program was created by the Quebec Film and Television Council (QFTC), Quebecor, and the Conseil des \u00e9v\u00e9nements \u00e9coresponsables.<\/p>\n

The program is led by the QFTC. Supported by its partners, it aims to raise awareness, equip, and train all players in Quebec’s audiovisual industry. Rolling Green<\/em> offers resources, training, and facilitation tools, as well as accreditation recognizing the efforts and mobilization of production teams.<\/p>\n

The audiovisual industry emits a considerable amount of greenhouse gases through the production, distribution, and broadcasting of works. Several studies conducted in recent years have revealed that this is a highly polluting sector, requiring the rapid implementation of more environmentally friendly measures.<\/p>\n

      The QFTC continues its commitment and that of the industry by making an annual donation to Carbone Bor\u00e9al, a research organization at the Universit\u00e9 du Qu\u00e9bec \u00e0 Chicoutimi (UQAC). These donations contribute to the planting of forest trees in Quebec and CO2 sequestration.<\/p>\n

      As an extension of our commitment and in order to offset our GHG emissions that could not be reduced during the year, the team makes a donation for each Rolling Green<\/em>-certified production.<\/p>\n

      Since the launch of the Rolling Green<\/em> program, the QFTC has participated in the planting of 645 trees, thereby sequestering 90 tons of CO2 equivalent.<\/p>\n
