ROLLING GREEN ACCREDITATION
I’ve obtained accreditation for a production once, is it valid for other productions?
No, “Rolling Green” accreditation is valid only for the specific production for which it was requested and certifies the measures implemented for that shoot only.
In the case of a series, the accreditation is therefore valid only for one season and not for the entire series.
That’s why it’s important to always specify the season when you fill out your application form.
For a TV series, can I receive the accreditation logo before filming is complete and the accreditation form is filled out?
Recognizing the realities and challenges of distribution, we have implemented a solution better suited to TV series. This varies depending on the level you are aiming for; here are the steps to follow:
For the Commitment and Performance levels:
- Send us an email at [email protected] explaining the situation and the challenges, along with a letter of commitment signed by the production management, pledging to uphold the green plan and the eco-friendly measures implemented throughout the shoot, and to complete the accreditation process once filming wraps.
- Complete the accreditation form for the “Commitment” level. This requires implementing at least 20 eco-friendly measures.
For the Excellence Level:
The process is the same, but we also ask that you arrange a set visit. The visit allows us to conduct an initial audit of what has been put in place for the first few episodes.
You will then receive a temporary certificate, featuring the Commitment Level logo, which you may include in your credits if you wish.
Once filming is complete, you must complete the process according to the level you are aiming for.
At that point, we will conduct a final evaluation of your application to determine the level achieved. We will promote your accreditation based on the final level obtained.
There are no additional fees. You pay only once, for the level you are aiming for.
I am a production company based outside of Quebec. Can I have my productions accredited?
Yes, it is entirely possible to have your productions accredited; you can follow the standard accreditation process.

How long does it take to review my application?
Our project review period is 15 days. Please let us know when your application is complete by sending an email to [email protected].
If you have tight deadlines, we ask that you submit your application as early as possible. We are a small team handling multiple applications.
How long do I have to submit my application after filming wraps up?
We do not impose a deadline, but we recommend that you do so promptly so that the supporting documents remain accessible and up-to-date.
Who should fill out the accreditation form?
The person in charge of environmental responsibility during filming or a member of the green committee.
I’d like to change my accreditation level, but I’ve already submitted an application. Is that possible?
If you’d like to switch to a higher level:
From “Commitment” to “Performance”: This is possible if you request it early enough in the process (while filming is still underway).
From “Performance” to “Excellence”: This is only possible if filming is still underway and you notify us early enough for us to schedule a set visit.
In all cases, we will bill you for the new amount.
If you wish to downgrade to a lower level:
This is possible, but we do not refund accreditation fees. Each level has a specific rate based on the associated workload; we do not refund fees for level changes during filming.
Is the on-set visit mandatory?
The on-set visit is a mandatory requirement for qualifying for the “Excellence” level. It should be scheduled as far in advance as possible.
It can also be conducted virtually—for environmental and economic reasons—when the filming location is too far from our offices in Montreal. This in no way diminishes the importance of the visit, which serves as a second audit.
Do I have the right to use the “Rolling Green” logo anywhere?
No, “Rolling Green” is a trademark of the QFTC, and use of the logo is not royalty-free.
You may use the “Rolling Green” logo to publicize and promote your accreditation. Your accreditation level must have been validated by the “Rolling Green” team. You may include the logo, along with the level achieved, in the credits of your production or on communication materials.
The logo must be used in its original form, without any changes to color, proportions, effects, or graphic elements.
You may not use the general “Rolling Green” logo without written permission. Any use of the logo must be covered by an agreement or contract that justifies the legitimacy of its use.
ROLLING GREEN PATHWAY
I’m self-employed/a freelancer, can I sign up for the “ROLLING GREEN x SODEC” pathway ?
Unfortunately, the program’s eligibility requirements do not allow you to sign up. Since the program’s goal is to enhance the talent pool within production companies, freelancers are unfortunately not eligible.
Are the personalized support sessions mandatory?
Yes, they are an integral part of the program and must be completed in full.
I work for a production company outside of Quebec, can I register?
Unfortunately, no, the Rolling Green X SODEC Pathway is intended only for production companies based in Quebec.
