1 YEAR OF ECO-RESPONSIBLE ACTIONS WITHIN THE INDUSTRY

On April 30, 2021, the Rolling Green action plan was born, and it is with great joy that the project’s founding partners, the Quebec film and television council (QFTC), the Conseil québécois des événements écoresponsables (CQEER) and Québécor, are celebrating one year of eco-responsible actions within the industry.

Many of you have taken part in this eco-responsible shift and it is thanks to you that the program continues its ascent towards a greener future within the film and audiovisual industry.

In order to mark the first anniversary of Rolling Green and to continue our commitment to a greener and more sustainable industry, 100 trees will be planted for productions already accredited by the program and we are also committed to continuing this action for each of the productions that will take the step in the coming year, at a rate of 5 trees per production.

This April’s newsletter is under the sign of recognition, but also the celebration of each action taken within the framework of the Rolling Green action plan and which contributed to its development.

Thank you all for your dedication and involvement.

THE LAUNCH OF THE ACTION PLAN
WE’RE ROLLING GREEN

On April 30, 2021, the Quebec film and television council (QFTC), the Conseil québécois des événements écoresponsables (CQEER) and Québecor, in collaboration with its subsidiaries MELS and TVA , were pleased and proud to announce, as founding partners, the official launch of Rolling Green. On this occasion, a press conference was held in the company of Valérie Plante (Mayor of Montreal), Caroline Voyer (Executive Director of CQEER) and Pierre Moreau (former CEO of the BCTQ).

It is in a context where the impact of audiovisual productions on the environment was becoming increasingly important that the founding partners of the project had set up the Rolling Green project, in order to sensitize all members of the industry to more environmentally responsible practices.
